VinMotion
VinMotion is Vingroup's general-purpose humanoid subsidiary, established January 2025 with ~VND 1 trillion (~$38M) charter capital (Vingroup 51%). Its Motion 1 humanoid uses visual SLAM navigation, 3D obstacle avoidance and human-in-the-loop semi-autonomous control for light industrial tasks (material transport, visual inspection, assembly support). Motion 1 debuted publicly in August 2025 before Vietnam's top leadership and began initial deployments in VinFast automotive factories for material handling and quality inspection. A heavier-duty successor line (Motion 2 / Super Motion) is in development. The company is chaired by Nguyen Trung Quan, a Carnegie Mellon-trained roboticist and USC assistant professor.
