Optimus Gen 2 (2023) and Gen 3 (in production ramp, 2026) use Tesla-designed actuators and custom silicon (FSD chip). As of mid-2026 all deployments are internal at Fremont and Gigafactory Texas for training-data generation; no external commercial customer has been announced.
