RiACT
RiACT, an Aalborg University spin-out, builds RiFLEX, a skill-based operating system for industrial and collaborative robots that sits between robot hardware and intelligent applications. Task-level 'skills' (machine tending, pick-and-place, palletizing) are composed instead of hand-coded, cutting robot (re)programming from hours to roughly 15 minutes and making cells hardware-agnostic across robot brands. CEO Bjarne Grossmann describes the platform as 'WordPress for robots'. Backers include the Wallenberg Foundations ($850K pre-seed), Butterfly Ventures, Navigare Ventures and Molgaard Capital, and RiFLEX rolled out across Nordic and Southern European markets during 2023-2024 with partners including CTAG, Ledisson AIT and Whirlpool EMEA use-case work.
