PowerWave Co.,Ltd.
PowerWave builds wireless power transfer systems for mobile robots based on a proprietary capacitive (electric-field) coupling method, transmitting high-frequency power via displacement current rather than the inductive coils used by most competitors. Its modular units span 50W to 10kW and support both stationary and in-motion charging for AGVs and AMRs in manufacturing and logistics, enabling continuous 24/7 operation. The capacitive approach gives high tolerance to positional misalignment, allowing robots to charge without precise docking. The company was spun out of Toyohashi University of Technology.
