Ornadyne
Ornadyne (YC Spring 2026) builds autonomous flapping-wing ornithopter drones that look, fly and sound like real birds for low-detectability military reconnaissance; flapping-wing signatures sit in a blind spot of counter-UAS systems tuned to rotor and fixed-wing craft. Its O1 platform targets roughly one-pound weight, ~27 mph speed, hour-class endurance and low acoustic signature, and the company already operates a flying prototype. CEO Geourg Kivijian previously worked on Mars Sample Return coordination at NASA JPL and lunar rovers at Astrolab; CTO Armen Arakelyan was a Starship components engineer at SpaceX.
