NanoFlex Robotics
ETH Zurich Multi-Scale Robotics Lab spin-off building a remote magnetic navigation telerobotic platform for endovascular procedures, steering magnetic guidewires through complex vascular anatomy for acute ischemic stroke thrombectomy. Technology rests on 20+ years of ETH electromagnetic-control research. Completed the first known transatlantic robot-assisted animal thrombectomy (USA to Switzerland, May 2025) with Inselspital Bern and University Hospital Zurich, and is preparing first-in-human trials. Pre-commercial: no FDA clearance or CE mark yet; ~$15M raised plus CHF 2.9M Innosuisse grants in 2024. Partnership with Brainomix pairs its robot with AI stroke imaging.
