FrodoBots
FrodoBots operates a teleoperated robot platform and data-collection marketplace where remote players drive EarthRover sidewalk robots (retail from $199) via a gamified 'Drive to Earn' interface, converting each session into labelled embodied-AI training demonstrations. The fleet runs as the BitRobot DePIN (Decentralised Physical Infrastructure Network), using on-chain subnets to coordinate data collection and distribute token rewards to robot operators across a globally distributed infrastructure. The FrodoBots-2K open dataset (published May 2024) contains approximately 2,000 hours and 9,000+ teleoperation sessions from deployments in 10+ cities including London, Madrid, Stockholm, Berlin, Palo Alto, Wuhan and Liuzhou. A $8M fundraise announced February 2025 extended the platform into a multi-subnet BitRobot architecture targeting large-scale embodied-AI research data supply.
