Forge Robotics builds an AI vision system and robotic intelligence layer that enables existing industrial welding robot arms to perform fully autonomous weld seam detection and execution without manual programming, even when part setup is imperfect. The system generates a sub-millimeter real-time 3D map of the workpiece, identifies weld seams and part geometry, and autonomously controls the robot arm, targeting improvement from ~90% to 99% first-pass line yield. The company addresses a critical shortage of skilled welders and aims to expand into a factory operating system covering cutting, assembly, and inspection. First product launch is targeted for July 2026.
